The New Year
We are now a family of three again...I guess I should clarify and say a family of three all living together now! Homecoming was very cold but amazing! It was an amazing feeling to see him walking down the pier searching for us. We enjoyed our few days together before flying back to Indiana for the Holidays. Zack and I were not on the same page yet as a couple, but overall we made it through the stress of visiting our families and the Holidays well. We enjoy visiting our families but it becomes overwhelming with the need to accomplish so much in so few days. We need a vacation after returning to Virginia! Noah recognized Zack immediately and knew it was his dada, which made Zack smile ear to ear. Zack was overwhelmed those first few days with relearning how to take care of Noah and just the happenings of the household. Noah is warming up to him and gave him his first kiss yesterday. However, they still have a ways to go to get to know each other again. Zack and I have picked up where we left off and are enjoying spending time together. He will leave again soon for a few weeks and I am not looking forward to being alone after getting used to him being with us. But that's life in the Navy. In the next few days and weeks we will be spending time with our friends, Crystal and Tony, before they leave for Fallon, Nevada. I met Crystal right before deployment when she was on the ship visit her boyfriend, who works with Zack. We became quick friends and it has been wonderful to have her as a friend. I am not looking forward to them leaving, but she promises to visit us in Japan. Noah and I will both miss her greatly. Zack and Noah both came back from Indiana with colds and terrible coughs...I have somehow managed to stay clear of it. Noah coughs and coughs...I hope that he gets over it quickly...as he just woke himself up from coughing so much. Zack has hooked up his new Wii and old laptop to the TV...so I am sitting on the couch with wireless keyboard and mouse making this post. It is wonderful, but I am still unsure about not being able to be on the computer and watch TV at the same time...but we shall see how it works out.
